Exellent country public house in rural surroundings, on the staffordshire/shropshire
border.Unchanged public bar and small snug room, along with a games room with dart board,dominoes and board games.
There are three real ales on sale at all times,as well as two ciders and a lager.
In the summer months the pub is host to many events,such as music festivals,
motor cycle rallies,wedding receptions,birthday parties etc.
There is a small marquee available that can hold around 120 people on the large beer garden.
To the rear of the pub there is a four acre field that is ideal for camping,vehicle rallies and club meetings,it has outside toilets with hot and cold water which are basic but functional.Camping is available all year round to anyone but there are no electric hooks up on site at this point.
The dashers has also hosted for the last 64 years an annual potato show, it is the oldest still running horticultural show in staffordshire, membership is £4.00 per annum.

It has a quarry tiled floor and is decorated with many brass and copper
items lots of which are functional oil lamps,around 50 or so and still
collecting. They range in age from victorian to present day,and from
very small to large standard lamps.
About once a month the whole pub goes back in time,All the rooms
are lit entirely by oil lamps for the whole evening. The atmosphere is
completely changed and almost magically becomes very relaxed.
The lamp nights are proving to be very popular with the regulars,
perhaps the free supper helps as well!!!
